       22 Days    +    52 riders  =   575 Spin Classes   

 

 

11 teams of 5 riders competed to see which team could spin the most Spin Classes during the Tour de France & win the maillot jaune.  The competition was fierce, as spinners completed a collective 575 Spin Classes in 22 days.  The extreme summits & killer sprints brought out the best in everyone as they gained strength, edurance and confidence, causing a few riders to drop weight like a novice cyclist in the peloton!

 

Congrats to Deborah, Katie, Amye, Kris & Rene (The Orange Team) on completing 116 classes for first place!  Giving them a reason to push and spin 2 and some days 3 classes per day, was constant and steady push by the the second place winners, Ailleen (who did all 38 classes), Kimi, Mellissa, Jody & Paul, The Saphire Blue Team with 113 classes!  With much enthusiasm, the third place team of Rody, Carolyn, Beatriz, Diane & Rosie made up the Fire Red Team. 

 

Our final celebration ride down the Champs-Elysees was held on Sunday, July 26th taught by Robert, Carolyn and Kim, after which toasted champagne & chocolate strawberries in honor of the Maillot Jaune.  We ride recovery for a few days, reminiscing the race days we endured and longing for the start of the Tour 2010!
