Pilates is a full body conditioning program which improves strength, flexibility, balance, control and muscular symmetry. These stabilization muscles promote elongated and toned muscles and are the foundation of our lumbar stabilization exercise program.
Pilates Instructors
Therese McNerney is the founder of Precision. She has been a practicing physical therapist for the last 18 years focusing on manual therapy, orthopedics and exercise. Ms. McNerney is a Professional Pilates Instructor (PPI) and a national lecturer on Pilates. She developed the first Pilates Certification in the United States designed exclusively for health care professionals.
Robert Teri is certified by Power House Pilates and takes Pilates to the fitness level. Robert’s 30 years experience in various forms of dance give him a realistic application for the techniques developed by Joseph Pilates and the dancers he trained.
Binila Abraham is a Licensed Physical Therapist specializing in chronic pain syndromes, manual therapy and general orthopedics. She is a certified Pilates instructor and is currently teaching both group and individual apparatus classes.
Karly Decker is a Licensed Physical Therapist and Certified Pilates Instructor. Prior to relocating to Maryland, she worked at the Rusk Institute of Rehab affiliated with NYU Medical Center in inpatient and outpatient rehab. Karly specializes in manual therapy/myofascial release when treating the orthopedic population.
Renee Roth is a Licensed Physical Therapist with seven years of experience. Her focus is orthopedic rehab, manual management of chronic pain syndromes, lumbar stabilization and post surgical recovery. Renee is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Pilates Instructor.
Amy Van Mui has been teaching since 2000 and is certified in Yoga and Pilates. Her background in both allows her to better facilitate functional movement, flexibility, and stability for joint integrity. This especially benefits clients with injuries, special needs, and musculoskeletal imbalances. Her inspiring teaching style focuses on functional and efficient movement based on correct biomechanics. She thrives on helping her clients attain their fitness and lifestyle goals in an enjoyable and physically challenging fashion.
